On May 30, 2011 IIROC will host a free Investor Forum on Trading on Canada’s Equity Marketplaces. Investor advocates and DIY retail investors are encouraged to attend to learn more about how the significant changes in market structure, as well as speed and volume of trading, impact their equity trading activities. IIROC has introduced a number of rule changes in response to problems highlighted by the “Flash Crash” of May 2010 including stop loss orders being filled at prices well below the stop loss price.
