CCGG supports a national securities regulator for Canada

A recent Op-ed piece written by Stephen Griggs, Executive Director of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance (CCGG) outlines why a national securities regulator should matter to ordinary Canadians. Such a regulator would have the constitutional power to develop and co-ordinate both administrative and criminal laws and policies to protect investors equally across the country. CCGG believes that a national regulator, as proposed by the federal government, is the best way to protect all Canadian investors and to foster efficient and effective capital markets across Canada.
