Stan I. Buell

Toronto, ON | Stan spent 30 years in an engineering career. After graduating in Civil Engineering he spent  five years working in Canada as a design engineer and as a project engineer for projects in Quebec. Later, he took a four year assignment in the Middle East as Resident Engineer for the construction of an international airport in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Over the next twenty years he was involved in engineering management in Canada and overseas with his last position as Vice President Africa and the Middle East for Delcan International Limited. In this position he was responsible for operations with a staff of approximately 100 and projects in several African and Middle Eastern countries. In 1990 he left engineering to join his wife in real estate sales and became an associate broker with Royal Lepage. He served several years on the Ethics Committee of the Toronto Real Estate Board.

Stan is President of the Small Investor Protection Association, a national non-profit organization with over 600 members in ten provinces across Canada. He is a member of the Box Grove Community Association Board and currently serves as Secretary. In 2010 he was appointed to the Ontario Securities Commission Investor Advisory Panel.
