Until June 2008, the Foundation was a part-time pro bono initiative of Ermanno Pascutto.  In order to properly launch the Foundation and to provide assurance to RS and the IDA (now IIROC) that the launch of the Foundation would proceed on a timely basis and that it would operate in accordance with its stated objectives, Ermanno Pascutto agreed to take on the position of Executive Director of the Foundation on a full-time basis with a view to recruiting permanent staff and training a successor.  He assumed the position of Executive Director effective in June 2008.
